It is true that Shan will be remembered for her powerful art that will continue to inform us for generations. It is equally true that Shan will be remembered as a remarkable person. She was the kind of person who was easy to love; she was honest, kind and fun to be around as evidenced by her close-knit family and many friendships.
We will forever remember her smile, her heart, and her message — for us to care deeply for the people in our lives, the natural world, the animals, Earth and those who continue to struggle against injustice.
